Molly Gosline, Executive Director

Molly is in her 11th year as Executive Director of the Florida Independent Living Council, Inc. (“FILC”).  Ms. Gosline graduated summa cum laude from Florida’s St.LeoUniversity, with degrees in Criminology and Psychology.    Since the mid 1980’s, Ms. Gosline has been advocating for equal access and civil rights for all persons with disabilities.  She began her career as an instructor at the Florida School for the Deaf and Blind, and then worked with various organizations and State systems including implementation of Florida’s first Assertive Community Treatment Program; she was in the first graduating class of job coaches for the Florida Supported Employment Program, and then became one of the Program’s statewide trainers for job coaches.  Molly also served as the probation liaison for the Alachua County Court system for juvenile offenders, the legislative liaison for the statewide juvenile justice system and began an independent living program for mental health recipients.  Prior to joining FILC, Ms. Gosline worked with, and advocated for, systemic change within State systems for better access and funding to support community based services for all persons with disabilities and served as the director of several provider organizations.    In addition to her FILC responsibilities, Ms. Gosline currently serves on National Council on Independent Living’s (NCIL) Reauthorization of the Rehabilitation Act Sub-Committee, is a disability state contact for Florida’s Department of Emergency Management, was appointed to the Florida Department of Education Transition Task Force, and is a former board member for Disability Rights, Florida.  Ms. Gosline was elected to serve as the State Independent Living Council Representative of the national, Association of Programs in Rural Independent Living (APRIL). Ms. Gosline enjoyes international travel, nature activities and her son, who has recently returned home after teaching for 6 years in China.

Jenny Bopp, Operations Director

Jenny Bopp, a long-time resident of Tallahassee, began her career at the Florida Independent Living Council, Inc. (FILC) in 2004 as Administrative Assistant. She was soon promoted to Office/Fiscal Manager and now serves as Operations Director. Jenny has become an ardent advocate for persons with disabilities during her tenure at FILC. She has completed numerous trainings for ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) accessibility requirements and 508 website compliance.  Jenny coordinates all meeting activities for FILC including the Youth Advisory Committee.  She is also FILC's photographer, meeting planner and ensures that all activities and events are accessible for persons with disabilities, are properly advertised and available to all members of the public.  Jenny is a member of the Tallahassee Society of Association Executives and volunteers for fundraisers such as the Walk, Run, Roll event that takes place annually in Tallahassee. She enjoys spending time with her large family, building miniature replicas of old business establishments and reading fiction and non-fiction books.
